August 19, 1850Most highly respected Sir! For the longest time have I had the wish to become a Kindergarten teacher. I have been highly encouraged in this goal by Fraeulein Bothmann from Schweinfurt and wish to actualize this in the near future. I allow myself to ask you if might be able to register for the teachers' course which begins in October. Please tell me the requirements and what personal effects I should bring along. Also please tell me by what day I must arrive in Liebenthal. Another young lady from here, Fraeulein Kißling from Rothenburg, will also accompany me to Liebenstein to participate in the training course. I am so looking forward to it. Please, send me a reply as soon as possible. With great respect, My address: Johanna Hebart in Nuernberg c/o H.
