John Hampshire currently lives and owns a studio in Troy, NY with his wife Mary Beth (a member of the Maude Baum and Co. Dance Theater) and their two dachshunds, Topper and Prince. John has a Master of Fine arts degree from SUNY Albany and a BS in art from Skidmore College. He currently teaches drawing and painting at the Sage schools in Albany and Troy, and Skidmore College in Saratoga. John has exhibited work throughout the U.S. in Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, North Carolina, New Jersey, NYC, Massachusetts, and internationally in South Wales. His work has been shown in the Capital Region at The NYS Museum, The Albany Airport Gallery, and The Albany Institute of History and Art to name a few.
